The JV Boys rounded out their first round of region play with a loss against the visiting Carolina Forest Panthers. The Panthers jumped on the Sharks early with their stifling defense and were relentless all game as they swarmed the Sharks. The Panthers led 5-2 after the first quarter and 17-10 at the half. The Sharks came out of the half and continued to struggle against the relentless pressure of the Panthers. They trailed 26-17 at the end of the third quarter. Justin Bailey converted a 4 point play at the start of the fourth to cut the lead to 26-21, but that was as close as the Sharks would get. The Panthers ended up winning 37-27 to down the Sharks. The Sharks were led by Justin Bailey and Dillon Haire with 10 points each. Joey Parisi added 4 points, Cam Tibbits chipped in with 2 points, and Marcus Hawkins-Alston added 1 point. The Sharks fall to 7-6 on the season and 2-3 in the region. They will travel to Conway on Tuesday looking to improve to 3-3 in the region.
