The JV boys traveled to Waccamaw to compete in the JV Waccamaw Invitational. They played against Georgetown in the first boys game of the day. The Sharks got off to a strong start jumping out to a 16-8 lead late in the 2nd quarter. However, back to back miscues let Georgetown close the gap to 16-13 at the end of the half. Georgetown came out strong in the 2nd half and narrowed the lead to 22-21 at the end of the third. The Sharks continued to turn the ball over in the fourth quarter and relinquished the lead late in the game. A technical foul by Ari Shklyar with just over a minute to play allowed Georgetown to up the lead to 4 and have possession of the ball with just a minute to play. The Sharks got a couple of stops in the last minute and Chandler Smithart had a look at a 3 pointer to tie the game with just 10 seconds left but missed. The Sharks fell 36-32 to Georgetown for their first loss of the season. The Sharks were led by a magnificent effort from Dillon Haire who finished with 19 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 steals. Chandler Smithart chipped in 7 points, Jacob Amend had 4 points, and Justin Bailey and Colin Dieser both added 1 point apiece. The JV Sharks fell to 1-1 and moved on to the consolation game for a rematch with Aynor.
