The JV Boys traveled to Conway Tuesday night looking to beat Conway for the second time this year. After playing their best game of the season against Conway the first time, they knew it would be much more difficult this time at Conway. The Sharks got off to a hot start in the first quarter leading 14-11. The Tigers battled back in the second quarter and the score was tied 19-19 heading into the halftime break. The teams were evenly matched in the third with both teams scoring 10 points each. With the score tied 27-27 headed into the fourth, the Sharks knew they had to get tougher on defense if they wanted to win. Led by Dylan Murphy and Joey Parisi, the Sharks took a 35-29 lead with just over a minute to play. However, some errant passes led to turnovers for the Sharks and the lead was cut to 39-37 with 5 seconds left. The Sharks were able to inbound the ball and run out the clock ending their 2 game losing streak. The Sharks were led by Dylan Murphy with 15 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 steals. Joey Parisi and Cam Tibbits both had 6 points apiece, Justin Bailey chipped in 5 points, Dillon Haire scored 3 points, and Ari Shklyar and Marcus Hawkins-Alston both had 2 points. The JV Sharks moved to 8-6 on the season and 3-3 in region play. They travel to West Florence on Friday night to take on the Knights who are 6-0 in region play.
