The JV boys Sharks rebounded after a tough loss to Georgetown to capture 3rd place at the JV Waccamaw Invitational. The Sharks got out to an early lead and never looked back. The Sharks pushed the ball and created many turnovers to gain an early lead of 17-16 at the half. The Sharks were up more points, but once again, allowed the opposing team to finish the half strong to close the gap to 1 point. This time, the Sharks had an extremely strong second half. They led 29-25 at the end of the third and closed out the fourth with a 45-31 win to move to 2-1. The JV Sharks were led by Ari Shklyar with 14 points and Dillon Haire with 8 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 block. Justin Bailey had 8 points, Jordan Rye had 5 points, Dylan Murphy had 3 points, Chandler Smithart, Jacob Amend, and Colin Dieser all had 2 points, and Jahdel White added 1 point. The JV Boys Sharks will take the court again Tuesday for a rematch with Georgetown. They will look to avenge their collapse in the fourth quarter Saturday and will also be looking forward to regaining starter Joey Parisi who missed both games Saturday. This will be the fourth road game in a week for the JV Boys Sharks.
