The JV Boys took the floor Tuesday looking to avenge an earlier loss to South Florence. The Sharks came out of the gate playing great defense and hitting open shots. They led 10-5 after the first quarter and had the momentum in their favor. However, in the second quarter, the Sharks started to turn the ball over consistently. The Bruins played hard and battled back to cut the lead to 20-17 going into the half. The Sharks regrouped at halftime and came out firing on all cylinders in the third. The took care of the ball and played great defense taking a 34-20 lead into the fourth. The Sharks were able to get revenge and finish off the Bruins in the fourth. The Sharks were led by a trio of Dylan Murphy, Dillon Haire, and Joey Parisi. Dylan Murphy had 8 points, 4 rebounds, 4 steals, and 3 assists. Dillon Haire had 13 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 steals. Joey Parisi had 8 points, 2 rebounds, 5 assists, and 5 steals. Justin Bailey had 6 points, Marcus Hawkins-Alston had 4 points, and Hampton Sanders, Jahdel White, and Chandler Smithart each chipped in 2 points. The Sharks move to 10-6 on the season and 5-3 in the region and will travel to rival Socastee on Friday looking for the sweep of the Braves.
