The boys JV Sharks made the long trip to Wilson High School to take on the JV Wilson Tigers. From the tip off, the Sharks were locked in defensively. The Sharks played intense and locked down their opponent with their suffocating defense. The Tigers were held to only 14 points in the first half. However, the Tigers played great defense of their own, holding the Sharks to only 16 points in the first half. The half was capped off by a Mike Herrin 3 to give the Sharks the lead. The Sharks came out on fire offensively and defensively in the third quarter. They outscored the Tigers 13-3 in the third quarter. The Tigers fought back in the fourth quarter, cutting the lead down to 4 points. However, the Sharks made big play after big play to close out the game with a victory by the score of 44-33. The Sharks were led by a 3 headed monster. Mike Herrin scored 16 points, Randy Smith added 12 points, and Candido Ortiz-Robles III added 11 points. Deondray Stanfield added 4 points and Jeremiah Nesbitt chipped in with 1 point. The Sharks are now 8-0 on the season and will play Marlboro County on Saturday the 20th at approximately 1:15.
