The boys JV Sharks took on the Myrtle Beach Seahawks for the first time this year. Unlike their last time out, the Sharks came out ready to play from the tip. They played intense, physical defense holding the Seahawks to only 2 points in the first quarter. The Sharks led 11-2 after the first quarter. The Seahawks rebounded in the second quarter to cut the halftime deficit to 16-14. The Sharks once again came out hot in the third quarter and took the quarter 16-8. The Sharks eventually closed out the game to win 40-28. The Sharks were led by Mike Herrin with 15 points and Candido Ortiz-Robles III with 12 points. Deondray Stanfield and Randy Smith both added 4 points, Jeremiah Nesbitt added 3 points, and Rivers Huggins chipped in 2 points. The Sharks move to 11-0 on the season and travel to Marlboro County on Thursday for a rematch with the Bulldogs.
