The boys JV Sharks looked to continue their undefeated start to the season on a rare Saturday game against Marlboro County. The Sharks came out and produced one of their worst offensive half’s all season. The Sharks trailed after the first quarter 9-5. They did rally some in the second quarter but the score was tied at 14 at the half. Once again, the Sharks regrouped in the locker room and came out firing in the second half. They took the third quarter 14-5. They also closed out the fourth strong and won that quarter 11-2. The Sharks put together their best defensive effort all year long and won the game 39-21. Mike Herrin again led St. James with 15 points. Randy Smith scored 8, Candido Ortiz-Robles III and Deondray Stanfield each scored 6, and Jeremiah Nesbitt chipped in 4 points. The JV Sharks will look to repeat their performance on Friday night at home in a rematch against North Myrtle Beach.
